John Stepon,47,a miner living alone at the Naomi mine,was found dead at his home by fellow workers on Thursday evening,March 8,1931. Mr. Stepson was last seen alive a week ago Saturday and when he did not put in an appearance at his usual haunts during the next four days,friends visited the home and found him dead. Heart trouble was said to have caused his death. He was born in Russia and lived at the Naomi mine for 20 years. His only surviving relative in this country is Nick Sebro,at Van Vorhis. The body has been kept at the John L. Bake funeral home at Fayette City.
