John Stanley Lindey;64;of 101 Fayette St.;Fayette City;died suddenly at his home;Tuesday;Jan.16;1973;at 10:15 a.m. He was born in Washington Twp.Sept.16;1908;a son of the late John and Phyllis Davies Lindey. He retired from Wheelng-Pittsburgh Steel’s Allenport Works last Friday. He was a member of the Fayette City Christian Church. Surviving are his widow;Dorethea Rudolph Lindey;two sons;Kenneth and John W.of Fayette City;one daughter;Mrs.Russell (Charlotte) Brown of Fayette City;seven grandchildren;one brother;Lewis Lindey of Fayette City R.D.;four sisters;Mrs.Willard Jones of Fayette City;Mrs.Mary Jolley;Mrs.William Hickey and Mrs.Paul Cope;all of Fayette City R.D. Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;where a service will be held Friday;Jan.19;at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Bruce E.Smith of the Fayette City Christian Church officiating.
