Obituary
John Stanko,80,of 300 Perry Ave.,Fairhope,Belle Vernon,died Friday, March 5,1965 at 1:30 o'clock in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Born in Lithuania,Nov. 20,1884,he had been a resident of Fairhope since 1909. He was retired from the Allenport Plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. in 1957. He was a member of Holy Spirit R.C.Church,Fayette City and of Fayette City Eagles Aerie. Surviving are his widow, Mary; five sons,Edward at home,Paul of Charleroi,Charles of Tampa,Fa.,John of Uniontown and George of Brownstown,Fayette City R.D.; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Males of Belle Vernon R.D. and 24 grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where funeral servces will be held Monday, March 8,at 10 a.m. The Rev. William Gayson,pastor of Holy Spirit R.C. Church,Fayette City,will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director.
