John Smith (Jack) Harvey;82;a former resident of Motheral Ave.;Monessen;died Friday;Aug.4;1961;at 3:20 a.m. in Alexander Restorium;St.Petersburg;Fla.;after a long illness. Mr.Harvey was born in England;Aug.7;1879. Before his retirement he was employed as a scales inspector at the Monessen Page Plant of American Chain and Cable Co. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church;Monessen and of Free and Accepted Masonic Lodge 638. Surviving are a daughter;E.Marjorie Harvey of St.Petersburg;Fla.;a former teacher in Monessen Schools;with whom he made his home;a brother;Richard H.of Belle Vernon and a nephew;J.G.Smith of Bristol;England. Friends will be received at the H.Denver Rhome Funeral home;Monessen;after 7 p.m.;Aug.7. The body will be taken to First Presbyterian Church;Monessen;on Wednesday;Aug.9;at 10 a.m. to lie in state until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. The Rev.Willis A.Hacker;pastor of First Presbyterian Church;Monessen;will officiate.
