Obituary

John "Skippy" Yadlosky of 700 Crest Drive, Monessen,died Friday, May 6,1988,in Mon Valley Hospial following a brief illness. He was 74.  Mr. Yadlosky was born Dec. 18,1913,in Pricedale,a son of the late Steve and Rosalie Yadlosky.  He had worked at the American Chain and Cable Page Division until 1970,and worked at the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation Allenport Plant before retiring.  Mr. Yadlosky was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II,serving with the 2nd Ranger Battalion. He was a member of St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church,the Hungarian Club and the Raven Athletic Club,all of Monessen,and the Ohio Chapter No.6 Rangers. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Kandrick Yadlosky; two sons, John A. Yadlosky of Roscoe and Michael Yadlosky of Allentown;two grandchildren,DeeAnn Marie and Michael Shane;two sisters, Pearl Shephard of Latrobe and Mrs. Bennie (Olga) Raynal of Citrus Springs, Fla., and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 a.m.in the Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,where services will be held Monday,May 9,at 10 a.m. with Father John Horosky officiating.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Rhome Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
