John Sivie,owner and operator of Sivie's Plumbing and Hardware,Monessen, died Saturday morning, April 23,1960, at four o'clock in Mercy Hospital,Pittsburgh,after a long illness. He resided at 24 Cresent Drive, Monessen. He was born in Monessen and had lived there all his life. He was a member of St. Cajetan R.C.Church,Monessen Chamber of Conmmerce,Monessen Elks Lodge 773,Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2399,and Ravens Athletic Association. He is survived by his wife, Lena; a daughter, Joanne,a student at California State College; a son, John,Jr. at home;his father, William Sivie of Monessen;three sisters, Mrs. John (Ann) Youshock of Lynnwood,Helen Sivie of New York City and Mrs. John (Mary) Kuchera of Detroit, Mich.;three brothers, Nicholas of Fisher Heights,Albert of Monessen and Frank of Bentleyville. Friends are being received at the R.A. Billick Funeral Home,Monessen,from 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. Blessing services will be held Tuesday, April 26,at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home,with services of Solemn Requiem High Mass to follow at 11 a.m. from St. Cajetan R.C.Church,Monessen. The Rev. Nunzio Pirull will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. R.A. Billick, funeral director.
