He was born in Monessen on
July 2; 1920; a son of the lale
Karl and Mary Maley Sivek.
Mr. Sivek was a member of
St. Cajetan Catholic Church;
Monessen; and had been
employed in the Open Hearth
Department of the Monessen
Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh
Steel Corp.
A World War II veteran; he
had served as a corporal with
Co. C. 36th Engineering
Battalion.
Surviving are his widow;
Frances ( Dolly ) Parise Sivek;
three daughters; Mrs. Tom
(Judy) Brecht of Greensburg;
Joyce and Diane; both at
home; two sons; John Sivek
Jr. of Monessen and David; at
home; two sisters. Mrs. John
(Eva) Kabay of Fairless Hills
and Mrs. Clarence (Mary)
Feehan ol Monessen; and four
brothers; Carl and Frank
Sivek; both ol Belle Vernon;
Nick Sivek ol Monessen and
Andrew Sivek ol Charleroi.
Friends will be received at
the Raymond D. Dalfonso
Funeral Home; Monessen;beginning
from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday;March 5 and
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p m.Sunday;March 6. Blessing services will be held at the funeral home on Monday March 7;at 10 a.m.followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St.Cajetan Catholic Church;Monessen;with the Rev.P.Lino Ramellini as celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Wake services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 8 p.m. Raymond D.Dalfonso is funeral director in charge.
