John Sivek, 56, of 464 Reed
Ave , Monessen, died
Friday,March 4,1977, at 8:30 a.m. in the
Charleroi Division of Mon
Valley Hospital.
He was born in Monessen on
July 2, 1920, a son of the lale
Karl and Mary Maley Sivek.
Mr. Sivek was a member of
St. Cajetan Catholic Church,
Monessen, and had been
employed in the Open Hearth
Department of the Monessen
Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh
Steel Corp.
A World War II veteran, he
had served as a corporal with
Co. C. 36th Engineering
Battalion.
Surviving are his widow,
Frances ( Dolly ) Parise Sivek,
three daughters, Mrs. Tom
(Judy) Brecht of Greensburg,
Joyce and Diane, both at
home, two sons, John Sivek
Jr. of Monessen and David, at
home, two sisters. Mrs. John
(Eva) Kabay of Fairless Hills
and Mrs. Clarence (Mary)
Feehan ol Monessen, and four
brothers, Carl and Frank
Sivek, both ol Belle Vernon,
Nick Sivek ol Monessen and
Andrew Sivek ol Charleroi.
Friends will be received at
the Raymond D. Dalfonso
Funeral Home, Monessen,beginning
from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday,March 5 and
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p m.Sunday,March 6. Blessing services will be held at the funeral home on Monday March 7,at 10 a.m.followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St.Cajetan Catholic Church,Monessen,with the Rev.P.Lino Ramellini as celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Wake services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 8 p.m. Raymond D.Dalfonso is funeral director in charge.
