Obituary

John S. Geeza of Monongahela Street, Pricdale,died Monday,July 19,1982,at 6:55 a.m. in McKeesport Hospital.  He was 67. Mr. Geeza was born Oct. 2,1914,in Peckville,Pa.,a son of the late Simon and Mary Geeza.  A U.S.Navy veteran of World War II,Mr. Geeza had been a Pricedale resident for over 45 years,where he had owned and operated the Pricedale Kennels. He retired in 1977 as a superintendent in the Steam Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation's Monessen Works. Mr. Geeza was preceded in death by a sister,Sr. Basil,O.S.B.M.He was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. Surviving are his wife, Emily Moskwa Geeza,at home;a stepmother,Stephania Geeza;four brothers,Michael Geeza of the State of New Jersey,Peter Geeza of Baltimore,Md.,David Geeza of Levittown,Pa.and Eugene Geeza of Peckville,Pa.;also nieces and nephews.Friends will be received in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  Belle Vernon American Legion services will be held Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. in the funeral home. A Parastas Service will be held Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home.  A Blessing Service will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. in the funeral home,with the Rev. John Kluchko,pastor,Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church,Belle Vernon,as celebrant.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangemetns.
