John Shandor Jr.,77,of Eastgate Manor,Monessen,died Friday morning,Jan. 28,1972, at 12:25 a.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Shandor was born in Scranton on Sept. 8,1894. He was a veteran of U. S. Army service in World War II and was a retired employee of the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Mary Karnitz of Allenport,along with several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,where a Blessing service will be held Monday,Jan. 31,1972,at 11 a.m. Msgr. Andrew D. Parvensky,pastor of St. Mary Byzantine Rite Catholic Church,Monessen,will officiate. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Howard W. McCrory,funeral director.
