Obituary

John Schuresko,78,of 516 Bluff St.,Belle Vernon,died Tuesday,July 2,1991,at 12:18 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Township. He was born Oct.5,1912,in Pricedale,a son of the late Michael and Anna Marena Schuresko. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Gena Pupilli Schuresko,April 25,1986,and by a brother,Melro Schuresko. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area,Mr.Schuresko was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. He was a life member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department. Mr.Schuresko was retired as a press operator from Bethem Machine Shop,Belle Vernon. He was a veteran of World War II,having served in the U.S.Army,Company A 366th Medical Battalion. Survivors include one brother,Daniel Schuresko of Belle Vernon,and two sisters,Mrs.Amerigo (Anna) Colelli of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Robert (Hazel) Lewis of Pittsburgh. Friends will be recieved Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where a prayer service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will hold services Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.in the funeral home. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
