John Schuresko;78;of 516 Bluff St.;Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;July 2;1991;at 12:18 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. He was born Oct.5;1912;in Pricedale;a son of the late Michael and Anna Marena Schuresko. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Gena Pupilli Schuresko;April 25;1986;and by a brother;Melro Schuresko. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area;Mr.Schuresko was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. He was a life member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department. Mr.Schuresko was retired as a press operator from Bethem Machine Shop;Belle Vernon. He was a veteran of World War II;having served in the U.S.Army;Company A 366th Medical Battalion. Survivors include one brother;Daniel Schuresko of Belle Vernon;and two sisters;Mrs.Amerigo (Anna) Colelli of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Robert (Hazel) Lewis of Pittsburgh. Friends will be recieved Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where a prayer service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian R.C.Church;Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will hold services Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.in the funeral home. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
