John Sarge Strychalski; 76;
of Fairhope; Belle Vernon; died
Tuesday; Jan. 3; 1995; in the
Country Care Manor; Fayette
City R.D. 2; after a lengthly
illness.
He was born in LaBelle; Jan.
2;1919; a son of the late Andrew
and Helen Glazer Strychalski.
Mr. Strychalski was a retired
coal miner from the Mathies Coal Mine. He was a member of
the UMWA.
A veteran of World War II; he
served with the U.S. Army. He
was a member of the Belle Vernon
American Legion Post 659
and the Fairhope Rod and Gun
Club. Surviving are his wife;
Susan Buchton Strychalski;whom he married on Feb.11;1939;a son and daughter-in-law;
Bernard and Debbie Strychalski
of Fairhope; two
daughters and sons-in-law;
Evelyn and Eugene Nagy of Donora
and Suzanne and John
Antol of Fairhope; nine grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren;
three brothers;
Walter and Stanley Strychalski
of Fairhope and Joseph of Trafford;
four sisters; Mary Belczyk
of Arnold City; Ann Glister of
North Versailles and Nellie
Gombo and Florence Rovny;
both of Fairhope; and a
daughter-in-law; Janet Miller
Strychalski of Augusta; Ga.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by a son;Andrew Strychalski in 1987;a brother;Edward Strychalski;and a sister;Mildred Spazak. Friends will be received
in the Howard W.
McCrory Funeral Home;
Fayette City; Wednesday
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and on Thursday
until 11
a.m.; the hour of services;
with the Rev. Felix Pyzowski
of St. Joseph Polish
National Catholic Church of
Fairhope officiating. Interment
will be in Belle Vernon
Cemetery; Belle Vernon.
