John S. Zapora;84;of 811 Washington St.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;May 28;1973;at 1:45 p.m. in Brownsville General Hospital. He was born in Poland on December 5;1888 and was a member of the Polish National Alliance of Monessen. Mr.Zapora was a retired coal miner;having worked 20 years for Victoria Coal Co.;Pricedale;and after retirement;operated Bernie’s Daity Bar;Belle Vernon;for six years. He resided in Belle Vernon the past 26 years;coming from Monessen. Surviving are his widow;Mary Frenchek Zapora;three sons;Leon of Salenas;calif.;Martin;at home;and Carey of Venton Harbor;Mich.;four daughters;Mrs.Stephen (Sophie) Panso of McKeesport;Mrs.John (Violet) Zuro of Belle Vernon;Mrs.David (Bernice) Ross of Dearborn Heights;Mich.and Mrs.John (Mildred) Panyard of Melvindale;Mich.;16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon from 7 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m.Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.Felix Pysowski of Holy Trinity Polish Catholic Church of Washington;officiating.
