John S. Bachhofer,Sr.,25 E.Schoonmaker avenue,died Saturday,Nov. 6,1954 at 12:50 o'clock at his late home. He had been a resident of Monessen for the past 35 years,and had been employed in the No.1 Rod Mill of the Pittsburgh Steel Co.plant here. Preceded in death by his wife,Mrs. Mary Edna Bachhofer two years ago,he is survived by two children,John S. Bachhofer,Jr.,of Perryopolis,and Lois,at home. Two grandchildren and a brother,Albert,of Duquesne also survive. Friends are being recieved at the Check Home for Funerals,100 Schoonmaker avenue,where funeral services will be held Ttuesday,Nov.9,at 2 p.m. Rev. Lloyd Erb will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Joseph R. Check,funeral director.
