John Rusyniak; 84; of Belle Vernon; died Friday; April 6; 2007; in H.J. Heinz Progressive Care Center; Pittsburgh. Born Aug. 11; 1922; in Monessen; he was the son of the late Peter and Eva Furtak Rusyniak. He was a resident of Belle Vernon since 1985; having previously resided in Michigan for 15 years. Mr. Rusyniak was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Belle Vernon and retired as a supervisor from Chrysler Corporation. A veteran of World War II; Mr. Rusyniak served with the U.S. Navy as an aerial photographer Seaman First Class. He was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659; Pricedale Russian Club and the Fairhope Rod & Gun Club. He is survived by a son; John W. Rusyniak; of Belle Vernon; a daughter and son-in-law; Judy and Ronald Adamo; of Michigan; a brother and sister- in-law; Walter and Irene Rusyniak; of Hopwood; three sisters; Helen Meluch; of Indiana; Julia Yuschak; of Belle Vernon; and Dorothy Ferencz; of Belle Vernon; four grandchildren; Vincent and Laurie Adamo; Christopher and Michelle Rusyniak; Christina and Ryan Schultz; and Kara and Mark Cerny; five great-grandchildren; Gage; Payton and Raegan Rusyniak Alexandria Cerny and Grace Ryan Schultz. He was preceded in death by his wife; Virginia Voloko Rusyniak; a brother; William Rosnick; and a daughter-in-law; Martha Rusyniak. Visitation will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; Family Owned and Operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). Relatives and friends will gather Tuesday; April 10; at 10 a.m. in Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church; Mary Street; Belle Vernon for funeral services with the Very Rev. John J. Kluchko as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of the Belle Vernon American Legion will hold services Monday at 7 p.m. and a Parastas service at 8 p.m. both in the funeral home.
