Obituary

John Pudish of Fayette City R.D.1 died Tuesday,March 9,1982,at 5 p.m. at the Waddington Convalescent Home Inc.,of Fayette City R.D.1 following a lengthy illness. He was 75. Born in Pittsburgh,Jan.19,1907,he was the son of the late Joseph and Catherine Blasko Pudish. A retired coal miner,Mr.Pudish had been a member of the United Mines Workers of America. In addition to his parents,Mr.Pudish was preceded in death by his wife,Theresa Filak Pudish in 1966. Survivors include his daughter,Mrs. Willis (Carol) Gardner of Fayette City R.D.1,three grandchildren,two brothers,Michael of Belle Vernon and George of Fayette City R.D.1. Also surviving are five sisters,Mrs.Marion Murphy and Mrs.Ann Baruso of New York City,N.Y.,Mrs.Helen Whalen of Falls Church,Va.,Mrs.Margaret Scalzo of Florida and Mrs.Betty Condosta of Wilkes-Barre,Pa. Friends are being received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home in Fayette City Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday until 11 a.m.when services will be held at the funeral home with the Rev.Charles D.LaPlaca,pastor of the United Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
