John Peter Pete Biggins Jr.; 64; of North Belle Vernon; died Monday; Jan. 1; 2007; at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital; Pittsburgh. Born June 9; 1942; in Sharon; he was the son of the late John P. Biggins Sr. and Mary Ellen Bricher Biggins. A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon; Mr. Biggins was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and a retired field service engineer from Westinghouse. He is survived by his wife; Saundra Sandy Labrasca Biggins; to whom he was married 43 years; a son and daughter-in-law; John R. and Tina Biggins; of Baltimore; Md.; two daughters and sons-in-law; Susan and Dave McPherson; of Crystal River; Fla.; and Mary Jane and Matthew Steffey; of Fayette City; two brothers and sisters-in-law; Michael and Betty Biggins; of Delaware; and Christopher and Judy Biggins; of Belle Vernon; four sisters and two brothers-in-law; Frances and John A. Gore; of Fairfax; Va.; Catherine Dutko; of Bristol; Beatrice M. Biggins; of New York City; and Rosemary and Tom Sabutala; of Roscoe; one sister-in- law; Carolyn Biggins; of Lowell; Ohio; seven grandchildren; Haley and Jenna Biggins; Andrea McPherson; and Christine; Matthew; Patrick and Mary Grace Steffey. He was preceded in death by a brother; William E. Biggins; and a granddaughter; Gabrielle Steffey. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. A Prayer Service will be held Thursday; Jan. 4; at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home; followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian R.C. Church; Belle Vernon. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of John Peter Biggins Jr. on Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
