John P. McDermott,71,of 217 Reed Ave.,Monessen,died at his home Sunday,May 21,1967 at 1:15 p.m. after being ill for three years. Born in Dunlevy on July 9,1895,he had lived in Monessen 25 years. Mr. McDermott was a retired employee of the wire mill of the Monessen Page plant of American Chain and Cable Co. He was a member of St. Leonard Roman Catholic Church,Monessen. His wife, Rose Smith McDermott,died in August 1960. Surviving is a daughter,Mary Jane McDermott of Monessen,with whom he made his home. Friends will be received after 7 p.m.,May 22, at the Robert A. Bilick Funeral Home,Monessen. Blessing service there Wednesday,May 24,at 9:30 a.m. followed by Requiem High Mass in St. Leonard R.C.Church,Monessen at 10 a.m. The Rev.
