Obituary

John P.Kimball,618 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,who for 35 years was paymaster at the Monessen Page Division of the American Chain and Cable Co.,was dead on arrival at the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital,Tuesday,May 1,1962,at 6:30 p.m. Mr.Kimball,who had been a resident of Belle Vernon for 60 years,was born in McKean Co.,Norwich,Pa.,the son of William and Eliza Pattison Kimball. He retired in 1954. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Belle Vernon,and the Men's Bible Class. He was also a member of the Junior Order United American Mechanics,the Odd Fellows Lodge of Belle Vernon and the Belle Vernon Lodge 643.,F.and A.M. He was a 32nd degree Mason,belonging to the Consistory at New Castle. He and Mrs.Kimball would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on June 26 of this year. His survivors are his widow,Mrs.Elsie Robinson Kimball,one son,Howard S.Kimball,Belle Vernon,one daughter,Mrs.Robert F.(Corrine) Allen,Belle Vernon,four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Another son,Walter Kimball,died in 1949. Friends are being received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,where services will take place Saturday,May 5,at 1:30 p.m.in charge of the Rev.E.W.Lighthall and the Rev.William Schatz. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director.
