Born in Belle Vernon;he was a son of the late Frank and Frances Bertovich. Mr.Bertovich was a veteran of World War II;having served in the U.S.Army;and belonged to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 167;American Legion Post 22;Belgium Club;all of Charleroi;and Western Bohemian Fraternal Association No.295. A resident of the area all his life;he worked at the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Surviving are three sons;John;Anthony and Mark of Roscoe;a brother;Paul of Charleroi R.D.1;four sisters;Mrs.Sergius (Mary) DeAmbrogi of Charleroi R.D.2;Mrs.Martin (Frances) Dietz of Roscoe;Mrs.Andrew (Ann) Rusnak of Monessen;Mrs.Melvin (Joan) LaRue of Falls Church;Va. Friends will be received at Francis C.Slezak Funeral Home;Charleroi;from 7 to 9 p.m.May 13 and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. May 14. Service Friday;May 15;at 10 a.m.in St.Mary Episcopal Church;Charleroi.
