Obituary

John Nescot,90,formerly of Pricedale,died Wednesday,Oct.21,1998,at Smithley's Personal Care Home,Mt.Morris,Pa. He was born Jan.22,1908,in Claridge,Pa.,a son of the late Michael and Anna Nescot. He retired in 1972 from the Clyde Mine of Republic Steel Corp. He was a former member of the Belle Vernon American Legion and the Belle Vernon Golden Agers. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include ond daughter and son-in-law,Madeline and Kenton Colvin of Morgantown,W.Va.,two brothers,Steve Nescot of Herminie and Paul Nescot of Bethel Park,one sister,Mary Long of Albuquerque,N.M.,two grandchildren,Kevin Colvin of Greensboro,N.C.,and Keth Colvin of Charlotte,N.C.,and one great-granddaughter,Brittany. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Elizaeth Faulk Nescot on March 10,1995,three brothers,James,Peter and Joseph Nescot,and two sisters,Julie Solsky and Pearl Steban. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. with pastor James Mimidis of the Pricedale Union Church officiating. Burial will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.
