Obituary

John Nalevanko Sr. of 125
Roskovich St. (Arnold City),
Belle Vernon, died Friday,Oct.29,1982,
at 6:53 p.m. in Brownsville
General Hospital following a
short illness. He was 83.
Mr. Nalevanko was born
June 24,1899 in
Czechoslovakia, a son of the
late George and Ann Metrick
Nalevanko.
He was a retired coal miner
and a U.S. Army veteran of
World War I.
Mr. Nalevanko was a
member of the Holy Spirit
Roman Catholic Church,
Fayette City.
He was preceded in death
by his wife, Margaret
Nalevanko, on April 6,1980.
Surviving are two sons,
Robert Nalevanko and John
Nalevanko Jr., both of Belle
Vernon, five daughters, Mrs.
George (Mary) Lesko, Mrs.
Michael (Margaret)
Kushner, Mrs. Helen Dilsky,
Mrs. Bernard (Betty) Lallanzio, and Mrs. Martin (Ann)
Bonitati, all of Belle Vernon,
three brothers, Anthony
Nalevanko of Latrobe and Andy and Elmer Nalevanko,both of Hannastown,Pa.,a sister,Mrs. Ann Kula of Greensburg R.D.4,10 grandchildren,and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,all day Sunday and on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home,followed by a 10 a.m.Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church,Fayette City,with the Rev.Thomas G.Rinn,pastor of the church,as celebrant. A Parish Wake Service will be held Sunday at 8 p.m.in the funeral home. A Parish Rosary will be recited Monday at 7:30 p.m.in the funeral home. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
