John M.Ross;aged 70 years;died Monday evening;December 26;1938;at his late home in 22 McKee avenue;Monessen;after an illness of five years. Mr.Ross was a pioneer resident of Monessen. He was born on the Ross Farm;which is now part of the City Park. He was married thrty-nine years ago to Miss Annabelle Popp;who survives along with a son;Norman of Pittsburgh and one brother;Sam Ross of Monessen. He was well-known in his community and for years followed the carpentry trade. Funeral services will be held at the late home tomorrow;Thursday evening at 7:30 o’clock in charge of the Rev.J.K.McFarland. Interment will take place Friday morning in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
