Obituary

John M.Bolchak,of 111 Prospect St.,Fayette City,died Wednesday,Dec.31,1980,at 2:50 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 70. Mr.Bolchak was born Sept.27,1910,in Coal Center,a son of the late Frank and Magdalena Halgus Bolchak. A retired coal miner,he was a World War II veteran of the U.S.Army. Mr.Bolchak was a member of Holy Spirit R.C.Church,Fayette City. Survivors include his wife,Mary Markovitch Bolchak,at home,three brothers,Joe of Newell,Andy of Wickhaven,Pa.and Frank of North Charleroi,and one sister,Mrs.Margaret Pollack,of Fayette City. Friends are being received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,Friday until 9 p.m.and Saturday until 1:30 p.m.when Prayer Services will be held in the funeral home followed by a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Spirit R.C.Church,Fayette City,with the Rev.Thomas G.Rinn,pastor,as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Rosary Service will be held Friday at 7:30 p.m.in the funeral home. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
