Obituary

John Luzanski Jr.of 646 Graham St.,Belle Vernon,died Friday,April 13,1984,at 5:03 a.m.in the Mon Valley Hospital. He was 76. Mr.Luzanski was born Oct.21,1907,in Arnold City,a son of the late John and Anna Kopcho Luzanski Sr. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area,he was a member of St.Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church,Monessen. Mr.Luzanski was a veteran of World War II,having served in the U.S.Army. He was retired from the payroll department of the former U.S.Steel Works in Donora. He was also a former member of North Belle Vernon Borough Council,serving on the borough Zoning and Planning Commission. Mr.Luzanski was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters,George,1956,Andrew,1976,Michael,1980,Mary,1960 and Anna Sarnowski,1980. Survivors include two sisters,Mrs.Eugene (Helen) Gilmore of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Sue Janosik of Swissvale,and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Blessing service will be held Monday,April 16,at 9:15 a.m.in the funeral home,followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m.in St.Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church,Monessen,with Monsignor Andrew D.Parvensky officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. On Sunday,Services for the Dead will be held at 2 p.m.and Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 service will be held at 7:15 p.m. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
