John Louis (Lou) Alexander,303 Shady Ave.,Charleroi,died Wednesday,June 17,1964 at 2:05 p.m. in Varners Convalescent Home,Finleyville,after a brief illness. Born in Charleroi,Aug. 8,1895,Mr. Alexander was retired from Allenport Plant of Pittburgh Steel Co. He was a member of First Christian Church,Charleroi. Preceded in death by his widow,Minnie Alexander in 1951,he is survived by two daughters,Mrs. William (Dorothy) Stasicha and Mrs. John L. (Albertine) Novak of Charleroi;two sisters,Mrs. Frank (Albertine) DeBoe and Mrs. Anson D. (Mary) Crabb of Charleroi and four grandchildren.Friends are being received at the Michael A. Melinchak Funeral Home,Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi,from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday,June 20,at 2 p.m. from the funeral home,with the Rev. W.S.VanArsdale Jr.,pastor of First Christian Church,Charleroi,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Michael A. Melinchak,funeral director.
