John Liscik;87;of 207 Sherwood Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday;July 8;1992;at 10:20 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born July 6;1905;in Braddock;a son of the late Michael and Mary Seykoski Liscik. He was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. He resided in the Belle Vernon area for the past 40 years. He retired in 1970 from the Irwin Works of the former U.S.Steel in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Belle Vernon Golden Age Assembly. Survivors include his wife;Alberta Toth Liscik;one son;Bernard Liscik of Indiana;Pa.;one daughter;Mrs.Lane (Carole) Lovett Jr.of Charleroi;a brother;Emil Liscik of Monessen;five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by six brothers;Michael;Andrew;George;Paul;Steve;and Cyril Liscik;and two sisters;Mary Dominico and Anna Petrak. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. A Prayer service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home;followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Entombment will be in Belle Vernon Mausoleum. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
