John L.Popp;Iron City Hill;aged 76 years;died Tuesday;May 12;1942;at 7 o’clock;at his home following a lingering illness. The deceased came to this vicinity from Greenoak;Pa.;and resided here for the past 66 years. He is survived by his widow;Mrs.Lydia Brown Popp;and eight children;Mrs.Lila Foulks of Monessen;Mrs.Anna Beckinger at home;Mrs.Mildred Greene;Iron City Hill;John ;Jr.;R.D.Belle Vernon;Howard;at home;Raymond of Evansville;Ind.;Mrs.Devona Hornack of Braddock and Walter;at home. A sister;Mrs.John Ross of Monessen;eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received at the late home until Friday afternoon when services will be be held at 2 o’clock in charge of Rev.J.E.Fosnight;pastor of the Baptist Church.
