Obituary

John Jack Lee Holder, 73, of North Belle Vernon, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at 3 p.m. at his residence. Born Jan. 3, 1932, in Belle Vernon, he was a son of the late John and Muriel McKinley Holder. He was a lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon and was Protestant by faith. Mr. Holder was retired from the former Bell Telephone Co., where he worked as a supervisor/technician. He was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 and the Belle Vernon Musical Society. Mr. Holder was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served with the U.S. Army. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Dolores and Joseph Balogh of Dayton, Ohio, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, Warren and Richard Holder and Margaret Christopher. Private family visitation and funeral services with Pastor William E. Lawson were held at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). Interment was in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of John Jack Lee Holder to the charity of one's choice.
