Obituary

John Lauteri,67,of Arnold City,Belle Vernon,died suddenly Tuesday,Aug.29,1995,at his home. Born April 18,1928,in Monessen,he was a son of the late James Vincenso Lauteri. Mr.lauteri was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,Monessen plant. He was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church,Fayette City. Mr.Lauteri was a veteran of the Korean War,having served in the U.S.Army. Survivors include his wife,Bertha Moskal Lauteri,a son and daughter-in-law,Richard and Rose Lauteri of Hopwood,two daughters and a son-in-law,Donna Lauteri at home,and Christine and George Nicksich of Fairhope,Belle Vernon,six grandchildren,and one brother,Frank Lauteri of Monessen. He was preceded in death by one son,John Vincent Lauteri,in 1955,and two sisters,Mary Nicolette and Jean Castle. Friends will be received Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,and Friday until 9:30 a.m.,when a prayer service will be held in the funeral home,followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Spirit R.C.Church,Fayette City,with the Rev.Richard E.Mackiewicz as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A parish vigil service will be held Thursday at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
