John L. Slavischalk Jr.; 71; of
902 Graham St.; Belle Vernon;
died Saturday; Feb. 27;1999; in
Monongahela Valley Hospital;
Carroll Township.
Mr. Slavischalk was born
June 17; 1927; in Pricedale; the
son of the late John A. and
Teresa Sepesi Slavischalk.
He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic
Church in Belle Vernon; where
he served as an usher for the
10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass.
A lifelong resident of Belle
Vernon; he was a retired machinist for Corning Glass and a
veteran of the U S. Army; as
well as a member of the Hungarian Club of Pricedale and a former member of the Belle Vernon American Legion.
He is survived by his wife;
Irene Klawcho Slavischalk; and
two sisters; Ann Falcon of Saddlebrook; N.J.; and Barbara
Havlik of Parsippany; N.J.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral
Home Inc.; 700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where a Prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
