John (Push) Klawcho,84,of 808 Monongahela St., Belle Vernon,died Monday,April 1,1996,at 10 a.m. in Uniontown Hospital. He had been a patient of Mt. Macrina Nursing Center in Uniontown the past 16 months. Born Feb. 26,1912,in Donora,he was the son of the late Adam and Mary Paruban Klawcho. Mr. Klawcho had resided in Detroit, Mich.,for 25 years and retired in 1972 from the Cadillac division of General Motors Corporation there. He was a veteran of World War II,having served in the South Pacific with the 3rd Marine Division of the U.S. Marine Corps. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a brother, Adam Klawcho;and three sisters, Sue Rutkowski,Marie Pisula and Mildred Jackowski. Surviving are one brother, Frank Klawcho of Belle Vernon;and two sisters, Mrs. John (Irene) Slavischalk and Mrs. Leon (Berniece) Burkett,both of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon,where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.with the Rev. Stephen Hurnyak of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church,Charleroi,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
