John Hirk Matejka, aged 79 years, died Monday morning, October 6,1930 at his home on Johnson street, Belle Vernon, after a lingering illness. He has been a resident of the Monongahela valley for the past thirty-six years. Surviving are a son, John,and daughter, Anna, a married daughter,Mrs. Judith Jerga and a step-son, Joseph Hoffman,all of Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be held Thursday in charge of Rev. Swasko, of Charleroi and interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
