John Kerekes Jr.; 84; of Pricedale; passed away Monday; March 29; 2010; in Havencrest Nursing Home. A son of the late John and Mary Kerekes; he was born in Pricedale on April 1; 1925. John was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and the Pricedale Hungarian Club. A lifelong resident of Pricedale; he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; and retired in 1988; after 34 years as a mathematics teacher at the Elizabeth Forward High School. Survivors include his wife of 61 years; Sophie Motycki Kerekes; one son and daughter-in-law; John and Debra Kerekes; and two grandchildren; John Patrick Kerekes and Alyssa Susan Kerekes; all of Belle Vernon. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by two brothers; Julius and Stephen Kerekes.
