Obituary

John Jupin,50,of Bedsworth st.,Pricedale,was dead on arrival at the Charleroi Division of the Mon Valley Hospital on Thursday,Dec.25,1975 after being stricken suddenly. Mr.Jupin,a life-long resident of Pricedale was employed in the Bethlehem Mines Corp.,Somerset Mine in Cokeburg for the past 12 years. He was the son of the late Michael and Anna Cherna Jupin and was a member of St.Macrina Byzantine Catholic Church of Monongahela,the American Legion Post 659 of Belle Vernon,Citizens Association of Pricedale,Polish Club of Arnold City,Hungarian BLS Society of Pricedale,United Mine Workers of America No.1197 of Cokeburg,East Belle Vernon Athletic Club and the Italian Beneficial Society of Belle Vernon. Survivors include his widow,Erika Whenknecht Jupin,three daughters,Mrs.Carl (Gerda) Zewe of Monongahela,Sharnette and Renee Jupin,both at home,one son,John Jupin,at home,one brother,Nick Jupin of Charleroi,and three sisters,Mrs.Anna Bisacky of Monongahela,Mrs.Eva Gaidos of Monongahela R.D.,and Mrs.George (Margaret) Kowasic of Naomi. Friends will be received in the Gerald R.Essey Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,after 2 p.m. on Saturday,Dec.27,1975 where Parastas services will be held on Sunday,Dec.28,1975 at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday,Dec.29,1975 at 9:30 a.m. in St.Macrina Byzantine Catholic Church of Monongahela. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. David R.Rhome,temporary supervisor,in charge.
