John J. Thompson,91,of Box 266,Pricedale,died on Friday,Dec. 27,1991,at 5:45 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born on June 18,1900,in Montross,Va.,a son of the late Rev. Andrew and Annie Thompson. Mr. Thompson came from a family of 16 children. He was employed at U.S.Steel Corporation and retired from Pittsburgh Coal Company. Mr. Thompson belonged to the Siloam Baptist Church in Montross,Va.,and Antioch Baptist Church of Belle Vernon. He was preceded in death by one sister,Emma Evans,and two brothers. Survivors include his wife,Clemmie Thompson;three sons and one daughter-in-law,John Jr. and wife Ann of Steubenville,Ohio,Calvin of Steubenville,and Kenneth of Los Angeles,Calif.;two daughters, Vermell Wilson of West Newton and Delores James of Monessen;one adopted daughter,Janet Johnson of Monessen;35 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren;one brother,Joseph Thompson of Washington,D.C.; two sisters,Mary Gaskin of Virginia and Althea Mitchell of Washington,D.C.;and nieces,nephews and friends. Friends were received Sunday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Antioch Baptist Church in Belle Vernon.
