John J.McClain;73;of Rostraver Township;died Sunday;July 15;2001;in Monongahela Valley Hospital. A son of the late John J.and Bertha Clement McClain;he was born in Belle Vernon on Aug.5;1927. He attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Fayette City and was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion. He had lived in
Rostraver Township for 42
years. He was a U.S. Marine
veteran of World War II and the
Korean Conflict. Mr. McClain
retired in 1989 from the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Survivors
include his wife of 44 years
Doris Steele McClain; a son;
John S. McClain of Rostraver
Township: three brothers;
James McClain of San Jose;
Calif.; George McClain of Fellsburg and Herb McClain of Fallowfield Township: two sisters;Betty Brewer of Belle Vernon
and Patsy Narey of Carroll
Township; and many nieces and
nephews. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death
by a sister; Ellen Burkhart.
Friends will be received on
Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. in the FERGUSON
FUNERAL HOME INC.. a

Funeral services will be held in
the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev.
Bryan Cinelli officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
