Obituary

John J. Kinik, 94, of Belle Vernon, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, in Havencrest Nursing Home, Carroll Township. Born July 28, 1913, in Pricedale, he was the son of the late John and Julia Contz Kinik. A resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Kinik was Catholic by faith. He was a retired coal miner from Republic Steel Corp. Mr. Kinik was a member of UMW-District 2 and the Hungarian Beneficial Society of Pricedale. He is survived by his wife, Albina Mauser Kinik, to whom he was married for 42 years, and a niece, Joan Beres, of Perryopolis. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan Lubati Kinik, three brothers, Steve, Frank and Gaber Kinik, five sisters, Julia Kinik, Helen Kinik, Mary Drill, Mildred Varney and Bertha Frick, and three nephews, Steve, Robert and Kenneth Kinik. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-6l83). A prayer service will be held Monday, July 7, at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, with the Rev. Charles P.
