John J. Kinik; 94; of Belle Vernon; died Thursday; July 3; 2008; in Havencrest Nursing Home; Carroll Township. Born July 28; 1913; in Pricedale; he was the son of the late John and Julia Contz Kinik. A resident of Belle Vernon; Mr. Kinik was Catholic by faith. He was a retired coal miner from Republic Steel Corp. Mr. Kinik was a member of UMW-District 2 and the Hungarian Beneficial Society of Pricedale. He is survived by his wife; Albina Mauser Kinik; to whom he was married for 42 years; and a niece; Joan Beres; of Perryopolis. He was preceded in death by his first wife; Susan Lubati Kinik; three brothers; Steve; Frank and Gaber Kinik; five sisters; Julia Kinik; Helen Kinik; Mary Drill; Mildred Varney and Bertha Frick; and three nephews; Steve; Robert and Kenneth Kinik. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; family owned and operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724-929-6l83). A prayer service will be held Monday; July 7; at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home; followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; Belle Vernon; with the Rev. Charles P.
