John Bright Jr.;67;of 623 McKee Ave.;Monessen;died Friday;April 21;1995;at his residence. Mr.Bright was born Jan.23;1928;in Monessen;a son of the late John and Elsie Carter Bright. He was a retired employee of the former Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. Mr.Bright was a U.S.Navy veteran of World War II. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion. In addition to his parents;Mr.Bright was preceded in death by five brothers;Ernest;Joshua;Benjamin;Elzer and Willis Bright;and by four sisters;Elsie May;Viola;Lillian and Mary Ann. He is survived by a friend;Bettie Love;with whom he made his home;one son;John Bright III of Dayton;Ohio;four daughters;Gloria Bright of Monessen;Lillian Ashby of Pittsburgh;Carolyn Graham of Newark;Del.;and Johnetta Bright of Dayton;Ohio;three brothers;Roscoe and Bill Bright;both of Donora;and Leroy Bright of Monessen;a sister;Margaret Robertson of Washington;Pa.;16 grandchildren and many nieces;nephews and cousins. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Mt.Calvary Baptist Church;Reed Ave.;Monessen. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.in the church with the Rev.Griffin Mason;pastor;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
