John H. (Jack) Eichar of Columbus Terrace Apartments,Belle Vernon died Monday,March 26, 1964,at 2:30 p.m.in Jefferson Center Hospital. He was 65. Mr. Eichar was born May 28,1918,in Belle Vernon. His father,harry H.Eichar,died Sept.6,1977 and his mother, Edna Krepps Eichar, died Aug. 26,1980. In addition to his parents, Mr. Eichar was preceded in death by a sister, June Kennie in 1951 and an uncle, Charles Krepps in 1956. Mr. Eichar lived in North Hollywood, Calif, for 33 years, retiring in May 1983 as a travel representative for Lockheed, California Company of Burbank. He returned to Belle Vernon after his retirement. Mr. Eichar was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army. Surviving are two aunts, Mrs. Jeannelte Marshall of Caldwell, Ohio and Mrs. Kathryne Krepps of Belle Vernon and a cousin, Linda Lee Hutchinson of Monessen. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home, 700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m.with Rev.Mary Howard,pastor of the Marion Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
