Jack H. Mood; age 90; of Fayette City; died October 6; 2012; peacefully surrounded by family; at his home. A son of the late Gust and Lilly Glotfelty Mood; he was born March 6; 1922. Besides his parents; he is preceded in death by his first wife Delma Atkinson Mood and infant daughter who both died during childbirth; brothers Walter and Ed Mood and sister Evelyn Renstrom. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years; Florence Crampo Mood; son and daughter-in-law Jack and Rebecca Mood of Fayette City; grandson Aaron John and wife Samee Griffith Mood; of North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law Carl and Linda Mood of Fayette City; and sister-in-law Nola and husband Edwin Pelczar of Belle Vernon. Jack was a lifelong Mon Valley resident and was a carpenter by trade; retiring when he was 78. He served in the US Army during WWII; where he received a purple heart and a bronze star. Jack was an active member of the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church; in West Newton. He also was a member and former President of the Belle Vernon Cemetery Board.
