John H. (Jack) Stark of Liberty Towers,California,formerly of Roscoe,died Monday, April 30,1984,in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp. He was 68. Mr. Stark was born Feb. 6,1916,in Roscoe, a son of the late Robert J. Sr. and Clementine Gollick Stark. He was retired from self-employment. A Protestant by faith, Mr. Stark was a member of the Slovak Club of Roscoe,the Roscoe Volunteer Fire Company,the Washington County Firemen's Association,the Western Pennsylvania Firemen's Association and the Moose Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Geneva Caudill Stark, at home; two sons, Jack F. Stark of Rostraver Twp.and Arden Lee Stark of Charleroi,two step-sons, M. Sgt. Davd R. Dean serving with the U. S. Air Force in the Philippines and Ronald L. Dean of Roscoe,one step-daughter,Nora Lou Gosney of Roscoe,10 grandchildren,four great-grandchildren,several nieces and nephews,three sisters, Mrs. Russell (Marybelle) Neudorfer of Ft. Lauderdale,Fla.,Mrs. Daniel (Irene) Atkinson of Belle Vernon and Bessie Flaherty of Elco,and two brothers, Thomas Stark of Fayette City R.D.and Howard J. Stark of Roscoe. Mr. Stark was preceded in death by three brothers, George William Stark in 1965,Robert Stark Jr. in 1981 and Myron C. Stark in 1983 and by two sisters, Margaret Brewer in 1972 and Drusilla Leonetti in 1979. Friends will be received at the Ed Melenyzer Funeral Home,Inc.,1008 Furlong Ave.,Roscoe,Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home,with the Rev. Robert Loughorough,pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Roscoe,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ed Melenyzer Funeral home,Inc.,is in charge of arrangements.
