John (Ganz) Hynes, 75,of the corner of Water and Union Sts.,Fayette City,died at his late home Wednesday, Feb. 26,1964 at 5:45 p.m. after a lengthy illness. A veteran of World War I,having served with the United States Army,Mr. Hynes was a member of the Brightwell Daugherty Post 48,American Legion for 45 years. He was a retired steel mill employee of the Allenport plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co.and was a member of St. Eusebius R.C.Church of Fayette City. Mr. Hynes was born in Washington County July 17,1888. Surviving are his widow,Mary; two sons, John H. Hynes of Fayette City and George Billy Hynes of Belle Vernon;three brothers, William J. and George of Belle Vernon and Patrick of Fayette City; one sister, Mrs. Francis (Grace) Traynor of Fayette City;three grandchildren and one great-grandson. Friends will be received at the Howard W. McCrory Funeral home in Fayette City.
