Obituary

John Gadus of 35A Bonnie St.,Clair Manor,Belle Vernon,died Thursday,March 12,1987,at 5:20 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 78. Mr.Gadus was born in Brownsville on Dec.22,1908,a son of the late Nicholas and Ellone Gary Gadus. He was a life-long resident of the Belle Vernon area and was a member of St.Sebastian's Roman Catholic Church. He had retired from Matway Coal Co.,Bentleyville. Mr.Gadus was a member of United Mine Workers Of America and the National Slovak Society of Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by two brothers in Europe,Andrew and Michael,and a sister,Helen. Survivors include his wife,Anne Hayduk Gadus,three daughters,Mrs.Linden F.(Mary Ann) Hepple,Mrs.Forrest B.(Helen) Hepple and Mrs.Edward A.(Shirley) Savarno,all of Belle Vernon,a brother,George Gadus of Europe,two sisters,Mary and Anna,both of Europe,five grandchildren,John Hepple,Mike Hepple,Linda Rozik,Dr.Edward Savarno and Eric Hepple,four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,on Thursday,from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.at St.Sebastian's Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
