He was a lifelong resident of
Belle Vernon; born there on
Sept. 11;1912.
Mr. Zuro was a former
North Belle Vernon councilman
and retired from the
Monessen Plant of Wheeling-
Pittsburgh Steel Corp. in 1970.
He was a member of Holy
Trinity Orthodox Church;
Charleroi; and was a charter
and life member of the
Russian Club of Pricedale.
He was preceded in death by
his father; Nicholas Zuro.
Surviving are his widow;
Violet Zapora Zuro; two sons;
John G. of Fairfax Station; Va.
and Robert D.; at home; one
daughter; Mrs. Gordon
(Janice) Yeaton of Belle
Vernon R. D. 3; his mother;
Mrs. Anna Zuro of Belle
Vernon; five brothers; Steve
Zuro of Detroit; Mich.;
William Zuro of Farmington;
Mich.; Michael Zuro of Belle
Vernon; Peter Zuro of
Monessen and Paul Zuro of
Greenock; six sisters; Olga H.
Zuro of Pittsburgh; Eva L.
Stiranka of Houston; Texas;
Jean Astle; Mary Jones and
Doris Booth; all three of Belle
Vernon; and Ann Mezoff of Bel
Air; Md.; and two granddaughters;
Vicki Yeaton and
Jennifer Zuro.
Friends will be received at
the Shelby D. Ferguson
Funeral Home; Belle Vernon;from 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Friday. Prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 12 noon with the Rev.Michael Simerick of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church;Charleroi;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
