Obituary

John Zuro, 63, of 813
Washington St., Belle Vernon,
died Wednesday,Dec.3,1975 at 4:30 a.m.in
Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was a lifelong resident of
Belle Vernon, born there on
Sept. 11,1912.
Mr. Zuro was a former
North Belle Vernon councilman
and retired from the
Monessen Plant of Wheeling-
Pittsburgh Steel Corp. in 1970.
He was a member of Holy
Trinity Orthodox Church,
Charleroi, and was a charter
and life member of the
Russian Club of Pricedale.
He was preceded in death by
his father, Nicholas Zuro.
Surviving are his widow,
Violet Zapora Zuro, two sons,
John G. of Fairfax Station, Va.
and Robert D., at home, one
daughter, Mrs. Gordon
(Janice) Yeaton of Belle
Vernon R. D. 3, his mother,
Mrs. Anna Zuro of Belle
Vernon, five brothers, Steve
Zuro of Detroit, Mich.,
William Zuro of Farmington,
Mich., Michael Zuro of Belle
Vernon, Peter Zuro of
Monessen and Paul Zuro of
Greenock, six sisters, Olga H.
Zuro of Pittsburgh, Eva L.
Stiranka of Houston, Texas,
Jean Astle, Mary Jones and
Doris Booth, all three of Belle
Vernon, and Ann Mezoff of Bel
Air, Md., and two granddaughters,
Vicki Yeaton and
Jennifer Zuro.
Friends will be received at
the Shelby D. Ferguson
Funeral Home, Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Friday. Prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 12 noon with the Rev.Michael Simerick of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church,Charleroi,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
