John G. Lesko; 71; of Tucson; Ariz.; formerly of Belle Vernon; died Wednesday; Jan. 29; 2014; at N.W. Medical Center; Tucson; Ariz. Born April 24; 1942; in Bayonne; N.J.; he was the son of the late John M. and Mary Kavula Lesko. A resident of Tucson for the past year; having previously resided in Belle Vernon; Mr. Lesko was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and was a retired insurance agent for the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026 and a 4th Degree Member of the Bishop Phelan Assembly 911; Monessen; and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife; Barbara Fabian Lesko to whom he was married 48 years; two sons and daughters-in-law; John M. Lesko and wife; Jennifer Klaus; of Tucson; Ariz.; and George Fabian Lesko and wife; Amber; of McDonald; and a grandson; Noah Lesko. Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS; Family Owned and Operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; 724-929-6183. Prayer service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home followed by funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. George Saletrik as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of John Lesko Sunday at 3 p.m. and the Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus will conduct services Sunday at 7 p.m.; both in the funeral home.
