John F. Strenske, 101 Main stieet. Belle Vernon, died Saturday, April 8,1944 at 12 p. m. in his 61 year, after an illness of six weeks. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith Strenske, five sisters, Mrs. Clara Hensey, Fairhope; Mrs. Minnie Judd, Donora; Mrs. Freda Smith, Belle Vernon, R. D., Mrs. Herman Allshouse, Scottdale, R. D.; Mrs. Emma Bass, Belle Vernon; four brothers, Charles Strenske of Belle Vernon; Oscar Strenske, Belle Vernon R D.; William Albright, Fairhope and Emil Albright, Belle Vernon. The deceased was a prominent resident of Belle Vernon, where he was engaged in the building contract trade. He was a member of the Junior Order United American Mechanics, The Odd Fellows lodge, and the Volunteer Fire Company. Friends are being received at the late residence until Tuesday,April 11,when services will be held at 2:30 p.m.in charge of Rev. Stanley H. Jewell. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
