John Elmer Abbey;63;of Fallowfield Twp.;Charleroi R.D.1;died Wednesday;May 14;1975;at 7:10 a.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. Mr.Abbey was born in Charleroi on June 6;1911. He was a roofer and well-known in the Mon Valley area. Mr.Abbey is survived by two sons;Jerry Abbey of Brownsville and George Abbey of Charleroi;two daughters;Mrs.Latricia Hess of Van Voorhis and Nancy Abbey of Pittsburgh;and five grandchildren. Friends will be received on Thursday;May 15;1975;from 7 until 9 p.m.in the Harold L.Schrock Funeral Home;226 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi where funeral services will be held on Friday;May 16;1975 at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Clarence Mayhie;pastor of the Methodist Church of Brownsvile;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold L.Schrock;funeral director in charge.
