John E. Kostelac; 87; of Monessen; died Thursday; April 10; 2008; in Victoria House II. Born in Pittsburgh on August 3; 1920; he was the son of James and Mary Berenik Kostelac. He retired as a foreman in the Roll Shop at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co.; Allenport plant. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church and served his country as a Master Sergeant in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother; Joseph Carpy Kostelac. He is survived by his wife; Josephine Drow Kostelac; one daughter and son-in-law; Claudia and Stephen E. Hornack; of Charleroi; one son and daughter-in-law; James and Barbara Kostelac; of Marietta; Ohio; four grandchildren; David (Christina) Hornack; of Bellevue; Neil Hornack and fiancee; Rose Abrusci; of Chicago; Ill.; Keith (Andrea) Kostelac; of Marietta; Ohio; and Bryan and wife; Amber; of Camby; Ind.; five great-grandchildren; Karl Kostelac; Nathan Hale; Meghan Kostelac; Gavan Kostelac and Anthony Bianculla; two brothers and sisters-in-law; Rudolph and Beatrice; of Fayette City; and William and Rose Kostelac; of New York; and one sister; Rose Marie McFall; of Belle Vernon (Fairhope). Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC.; Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue; Monessen (724-684-3700). Funeral services will be held Monday; April 14; at noon in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
