John E.Jones;91;of Monessen;died on Saturday;September 11;2010 in Jefferson Medical Center. Born in Morgantown;W.Va.on February 11;1919;he was the son of the late Ira B. and Mabel R.Sargent Jones. He retired from the Railway Express Agency. He was a U.S.Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church of Monessen. He was preceded in death by his wife;Dorothy G.Bender Jones. He is survived by his daughter;Kathleen Anderson of Belle Vernon;two grandsons;John Eric Anderson of Belle Vernon and Jeremy and his wife Sarah Anderson of Harrisburg;two nephews;Ronald and his wife Lorrain Taylor of Brownsville;and Eugene and his wife Jean Taylor of Pleasant Hills;and one niece;Lois Taylor of Fairchance. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.in the Robert A.Billick Funeral Home Inc.;Grand Blvd.and Marion Ave.;Monessen (724) 684-3700. A Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a 12 noon Funeral Mass in the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
