Obituary

John Driver,71,of Belle Vernon R.D.1,died Sunday,Feb.27,1977,at 9:30 p.m.in Shadyside Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was born Oct.5,1905,in Selma,Ala.,a son of the late Henry and Nancy Driver,and lived in the Belle Vernon area since boyhood. Mr.Driver was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church of Belle Vernon. He was preceded in death by his wife,Lottie Driver,on Oct.27,1974 and by four brothers,Fred,James (Son),Henry and William. Surviving are three daughters,Mrs.Willis (Nancy) Walker of Belle Vernon R.D.1,Mrs.Daniel (Charlotte) Cambridge of Pittsburgh and Miss Beverly Driver of Washington,D.C.,four sons,John E.Jr.,a U.S.Air Force technical sergeant stationed in Korea,Fred,an Air Force technical sergeant at Andrews Air Forse Base in Washington,D.C.,Samuel of San Rafael,Calif. and David of Belle Vernon R.D.1,a step-brother,Peter Evans,and two step-sisters,Jo Willie Jones and Isabelle Washington,all of Lackawanna,N.Y.,and 13 grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home,608 Sixth St.,Monessen on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday,March 2,1977 at 11 a.m.at the Antioch Baptist Church of Belle Vernon,the Rev.Samuel Green giving the eulogy. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C.Draper is funeral director in charge of arrangements.
